Jenkins Independent Schools

The elementary and middle school academic teams were recognized at the February board of education meeting.  Lynn Gilliam, long time elementary academic team coach, spoke about her teams accomplishments this season.  Lynn was joined by elementary academic team member Maverick Hall.  Taylor Newsome, the middle school academic team coach, then spoke about her team's accomplishments this season.  Among those accomplishments, two team members, Landon Thacker and Kinzleigh Damron, have qualified to compete in the upcoming state competition in Louisville.  Pictured are middle school academic team members Landon Thacker, Chloe Canter, Haley Cook, Braidon Canter, Samuel Whitaker, Waylon Canter, coach Taylor Newsome, and student coach Adrian Canter.
