Hocus Pocus Movie Night

The No Pass, No Drive statute was implemented on August 1, 2007. All 16- or 17-year-olds who are issued a driver permit or license on this date or later are subject to the provisions of this statute. Many Kentucky businesses and organizations have set up financial aid programs to help Kentuckians with their college costs. Some are available statewide, while others are limited to several counties, one county or one school. KHEAA has gathered information on as many of these programs as we can. Just a reminder that all students need to be compliant with their immunizations. Preschool, Kindergarten, 6th grade and age 16 all have immunizations that are needed with the school district and the state requirements. If you are unsure if your child is compliant, please check with your medical provider, health department or our school nurse.

We want all our students to join us in the cafeteria each morning for breakfast, because breakfast is the most important meal of the day. With the weather changing, we are beginning to serve either hot chocolate or cappuccino. If more students eat school breakfast during the week there will be special days on Fridays. Beginning next week, if we reach participation rate of 65% of higher, there will be an ice cream social at lunch for each campus that meets the mark! We are excited for school to start back tomorrow. Because of the delay in getting school started this year, we have extended the length of our school day. In the morning students should expect the bus at least 15 minutes earlier than last year. Also the bus will be 15 minutes later bringing them home. Since tomorrow is the first day times may vary. Thank you for your patience.

Welcome Back, Cavaliers!! The first day for students is Monday, September 19. School begins at Burdine at 7:50 and ends at 3:15. Jenkins Middle/High begins at 8:15 and will dismiss at 3:30. All school supplies will be provided. We can’t wait to see our Cavaliers!!

Open House for ALL Cavaliers will be on Friday, Sept. 16. JMHS welcomes students from 3-5pm. Burdine welcomes students from 5-7pm. School supplies, clothing, and other giveaways will be available. We can’t wait to see our Cavaliers!! #SwordsUp
