Burdine Elementary School will celebrate their 100th day of school the first day we are back to in person instruction! To all our new families, we usually wear a cute shirt (sometimes it’s handmade) that represent a quirky part of our personality…you can find tons of inspiration on social media!! Counting to 100 is a big deal for our lower primary students and to understand and comprehend “how many” that actually is! Teachers will have activities to enrich learning centered on 100! We’ve missed all of our kiddos and we are looking forward to seeing them again real soon!!

Wise County Career Tech Center is having a virtual learning day today. Be sure to log into your Wise County Career Tech Center Google Classroom for assignments.

Dear Cavalier Families,
Unfortunately, due to our current covid positivity rate, we are forced to move to remote instruction for the remainder of the week, February 2nd - 4th.
We know this is not ideal and will return to in-person instruction as soon as feasibly possible. We plan to run the vocational bus on a regular schedule. Morning students need to be at the school by 8:15 and evening students by 11:45.
We will be delivering meals on Wednesday, February 2nd. The meals included will be for 3 breakfasts and 3 lunches for the remainder of the week. The bus will leave Jenkins Middle High at 11:00 delivering meals on the main road to Dunham Park, then on to McRoberts Community Center, arriving @ 11:40 and will park at the Community Center for 15 minutes. Then the bus will travel back to Jenkins and deliver the Burdine route @ 12:30. If you live in one of the hollows that is normally on the route, please come out to the main road.
If you can’t meet the bus, you may pick up the meals at Jenkins Middle High from 12:00 – 1:00. Please pull to the side of the cafeteria and someone will bring the meals out to you.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Dear Cavalier Families,
It is our goal to provide in person instruction as much as possible through this pandemic. However, due to our current covid positivity rate, we have no choice but to move to remote instruction for Tuesday, February 1st. We apologize for this interruption, but know that our staff will be working diligently to see that student learning and services continue. Buildings will be open and staff will be onsite so that students can gather materials if needed. Thank you for your continued patience and support.
