
The Jenkins Independent School District would like to invite all our students to our Big Bash Summer Feeding Drive Through this Friday, May 28th from 1:00 until 3:00. We will have lots of fresh vegetables, a watermelon patch, fun-filled goodie bags, and meal bags for next week will also be available for pick-up. We would like to remind our families that we will not deliver meals the week of the Memorial Day holiday. Thank you!

We would like to invite you to come out and show your support and congratulatory wishes to Miss Kimber Collins! She will arrive in Jenkins on a fire truck today at approximately 5:45. Kimber has ranked first in the entire nation out of 1,549 elementary girls and first out of 978 5th grade girls in the National Archery in the Schools Program. Burdine Elementary will have their first musical presentation EVER! Tomorrow we will showcase our students in the musical Rainbow Fish. We will have two showings, one at 1:30 and the second at 6:00, due to COVID restrictions, we need to social distance so we ask that you limit yourself to one show only, PLEASE; this will allow space for other spectators. Thank you!


We want to remind seniors that we are having graduation practice today at 12pm at the school. We would also like to remind seniors and their families that tonight, at 7pm, in our school gymnasium, we're having our senior honors night. Be sure to come out and support your senior

If any student would like to participate in any sport for the next year, free physicals will be given at the school this Monday, May 3rd by MCHC. This physical will cover an entire sports school year for all seasons. You can pick up a form at the High school anytime tomorrow or Friday. Forms must be filled out by parent/guardian before the physical can be done. All students who think they may play a sport are encouraged to get a physical.

Due to flooding and road conditions caused by run-off, Jenkins Independent will operate on a virtual schedule tomorrow, Monday, March 29th.

This is a reminder that the state A.C.T. is happening this week at your child's home high school. Your child will either test on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday this week. Please check your child's school email for the day they will test or call the school and ask. We need them to be here by 7:55 on their test days. We also need them to be well-rested and have breakfast, either at home or at school. As always, If you have any questions about this or anything else, please contact the school.

With the return to in person instruction, all bus meal deliveries will be made on Fridays, beginning this Friday,
February 26. Students will be delivered 7 breakfast and 7 lunch meals. We will be running one bus, same routes as before. The bus will leave JMH campus @ 11:00 to begin the route, traveling thru Lakeside and High Street and going to McRoberts, then will return to Jenkins and do the Burdine Route, so the Burdine route will begin @1:00.
Due to no meal deliveries until Friday this week, there will be a meal kit pickup today, February 22 at Jenkins Middle High 1:00 – 2:00.

Hey Cavalier Families! We will return to in person instruction tomorrow, Monday, February 22nd. Staff will be ready to receive students (in both buildings) at 7:30. All students 2nd - 12th grade will need to bring their chrome books and chargers. Students will be required to wear masks that cover their mouth and nose at all times; students will get walking/mask breaks where they will be permitted to remove their mask. Students will also be socially distanced at all times; walking and sitting and while in their classrooms and during lunch. Your child is welcome to bring an unopened bottle of water, since the water fountains are closed due to Covid. Our traditional school week will run from Monday to Thursday, Friday will be our virtual day; since teachers will have in person instruction, we will no longer be available for lives or tutoring sessions, but lessons and videos will post as usual. We are very excited to get back into school with our students! If you would like to make arrangements to change your child to in person instruction, please contact your principal to make those arrangements.


Due to the severe weather forecast, Thursday, February 18th will be a virtual learning day. Teachers will be available for virtual tutoring and Google Meets. There will be no meal deliveries tomorrow. Remember, Fridays will now be virtual learning days from this point forward.
