Due to the uncertainty of the road conditions in many of the hollows, the food service staff will not be delivering meals today. If the road conditions have improved tomorrow, they will continue the regular McRoberts run Tuesday and push the Burdine food delivery to Wednesday.

If you didn't have a chance to stop by and pick up your Christmas goody bags and cards yesterday here at school, please stop by today or tomorrow until 4pm and pick them up. When you get here, you can call inside the school and we'll bring them out to you or you can come into the entrance way, wear a mask, and let us know who you're picking up for. Merry Christmas!

Don't forget that we'll be having our Christmas backpack give-a-way, sponsored by God's Love From a Diaper Bag and the South Carolina Baptist Association, on Monday, December 14th from 1-3pm at the middle high school. This is for students in grades 6-12 and will be a drive-through event with all social distancing guidelines in place. We will deliver the backpack to your vehicle. Our staff would like to wish all of our students and families a very Merry Christmas and will be giving out Christmas cards and goodie bags, as well. Please come by and see us.

The Jenkins Independent Schools would like to address parent and student concerns about attendance. We know attendance is not correct in infinite campus, we are working with infinite campus to resolve the issue. We have paper copies of student attendance and participation and will correct it in infinite campus as soon as they are able to update their system.

The Lunch bus will be leaving Jenkins Middle High School today at 12:00 following the regular Wednesday route. If you live behind the Union Hall please meet the bus on the main road. Deliveries in Marshals Branch will be limited to the main Marshals Branch Road only.

Herff-Jones will be here at school on Monday, December 7, from 11am-6pm for Juniors to order their class rings, if interested. Please reply to Mrs. Meade's email she sent you today for a time slot or you can call the school. The catalog has been mailed to your house.

Please discuss this with your parents and guardians and if you want to order a class ring or look at class rings, please let Mrs. Meade know so she can put you down for an appointment time. Due to the inclement weather, the Lunch Bus will not be running today’s route, we hope to be on the regular schedule tomorrow.

As we return to school virtually tomorrow, teachers will be available through google meets beginning at noon with extra tutoring either virtually or in person also available. Students should schedule tutoring with their teacher. This is a short grading period with only three weeks of instruction left before Christmas Break. Students will still have five days to complete virtual assignments, there will not be any extended make up opportunities this grading period, so do not fall behind with assignments. Contact teachers or the school with any concerns.

As we return to virtual instruction on Monday, November, 23rd, virtual class meetings will begin at noon and follow the same schedule we were on before in person instruction began. Virtual class meetings will be required of all students at Jenkins Middle High School. Classes will meet virtually Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Teachers will also be available virtually for tutoring from 9:30 - 10:30 those days. Contact your teacher to set up virtual tutoring if needed. There will be an assignment each Wednesday, but there will not be a virtual class meeting. Due to COVID guidelines there will be no in person tutoring at this time.

In compliance with Governor Beshear's executive order, Jenkins Independent will continue with in-person instruction Thursday and Friday of this week before transitioning to virtual instruction on Monday.
