Jenkins Independent Schools will operate on a 1 hour delay on Monday, February 24th.
We can't wait to see everyone tomorrow @ Burdine! Wear your pajamas! We are celebrating Read Across America this week. The Book Fair will still be this week, but due to last week's weather it won't arrive and be setup until Wednesday, February 26th.
There will be no school tomorrow, Friday, February 21st in Jenkins Independent Schools due to inclement weather.
There will be no Pee Wee practice today, February 20th. The first round of games scheduled for Saturday, February 22nd will be moved to Saturday, March 1st.

There will be no Pee Wee practice today Wednesday, February 19th due to inclement weather and hazardous road conditions.
Due to the impending inclement weather and to allow our families time to recover, Jenkins Independent Schools will be closed on Wednesday, February 19th.
For those still without water, Jenkins Middle High School will be open for anyone in need of a shower.
Due to widespread power and water outages and flood damage, Jenkins Independent Schools will be CLOSED on Tuesday, February 18th.
To assist those in need, Jenkins Middle High School will be open from 8 AM - 4 PM for anyone needing a hot shower.
We will evaluate the situation daily and reopen as soon as possible. Please pray for our community and all impacted. Stay safe, and thank you for your patience.

The past few weeks fifth graders have been learning about the American Revolution. They chose sides and held a mock debate-Colonists vs. Loyalists.
There will be no weight lifting today 6-8. Weight lifting will be Saturday 6-8. There will be no weight lifting on Sunday.
This week fifth grade has been studying physical changes. They put science in action this week while making chocolate covered strawberries.

Prek and Kingergarten Roundup Registration Event for the 2025-2026 School Year ! Please bring your child, current shot record, insurance card, proof of address, and copy of current physical and eye exam if completed. This event will be held at Burdine Elementary!

Due to high water in some areas, Jenkins Independent Schools will operate on a 1-hour delay tomorrow. This delay will allow our bus drivers to transport students safely in daylight, helping to avoid any potential high water or debris.

After checking road conditions, Jenkins Independent Schools will be operating on a 1-hour delay tomorrow.
There will be weightlifting this evening from 6:00-8:00 for those that can attend. Attendance is not mandatory.
