The generosity of our Cavalier Nation has been tremendous. We cannot thank everyone enough for stocking and supplying our donation center. We have had a steady stream of deliveries from Cavalier Alumni and friends of friends of friends. We are so appreciative, but at this time we can not accept any more clothing donations. Thanks again for your generosity!

The Back to School Bash scheduled for this week has been postponed. We will reschedule soon! We hope our Cavaliers are safe and well. Please come to school if you need food, cleaning supplies, shoes or just a hug!

JMHS is honored to host the Kentucky National Guard and Military Police in our school. We love and appreciate the work our troops are doing in Letcher and surrounding counties. 💚💙♥️🇺🇸🇺🇸

Sausage and chicken biscuits are ready at JMHS this morning! Come see us and have breakfast!

Jenkins Independent School will be open at 9:00 Monday morning to receive donations and distribute items to anyone in need. We have water, mops, brooms, buckets, cleaning supplies, hygiene items, clothing, shoes, and non-perishable food. If you would like to volunteer or assist in delivering to folks who can’t get to the school for supplies, we can put you to work. If you want to help a family clean up, we have places to send you. If you want to help people find sizes they need in our ever-growing selection of clothing, come help with that. God bless everyone who is helping, working and serving our community, county and region.

The Independent Baptist Church of Pound will be cooking for our community tomorrow! Meals will be ready starting at noon on Sunday!

Our Summer Reading Readiness will meet for the first time Wednesday, July 6th at Burdine Elementary at 1:00! We want to welcome ALL students even if you are needing to enroll, if you’re a newly enrolled student, or a current student! This wonderful experience is designed for families and students! Students will receive a book to keep in their library at home along with other cool treats and prizes! We are encouraging all students to attend, especially our new readers, students that will be in PreK, Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd graders!
